Do oracle cards really work and help to give guidance?
Not every morning, but when I am called, I pull an oracle card for a message for the day. And yes, they very uncannily are on point with exactly what I need to hear in that moment/for the day!
Oracle cards are a really simple tool that anyone can use to nudge you in the right direction…. perhaps your gut instinct already knew what the card tells you, or perhaps it was that reassurance you needed to hear to help you step out into the world that day.
How do I do I pull oracle cards?
I simply follow my gut feeling of which deck I am being pulled to. I only have two. I don’t get caught up in “is this the right one?”, or question the pull, I just tune in and recognise for some reason… xxx deck is seeming brighter, louder, more magnified to me.
After this, I shuffle the deck and as I am shuffling the deck I ask silently in my mind, “What is it I need to know today?” or something to that effect. You can ask for an answer to a specific question. How long you shuffle for is completely up to you. Some people will shuffle for ages…….. I tend to shuffle til it feels right to stop. I can change up my shuffling from regular type shuffling to doing it in chunks, back and forth, then a regular shuffle etc….
When I am done, I fan out the deck in front of me - like a slightly curved top of a circle shape. I use my hand to fan them out. At this point I stop, I might move the cards a bit more, and just like choosing which oracle deck to pull from, whatever card catches my eye is the one. Again, I don’t overthink it, whatever card pops, I pull.
I don’t experience it very much, but sometimes a card might fall out as I am shuffling. If this happens, some people believe these are the ones you are meant to read. I don’t have heaps of experience of cards falling out when I shuffle but when I’ve had that rare experience, I’ve used it as a sign that it’s the card for today.
Then, you simply read the message of the card. Like all things magical, the card is always just so spot on, uncannily so for what is going on for me or the client, whatever the circumstance is. It’s really quite trippy tbh. I absolutely love the confirmations that come through. And yes, sometimes, it is just exactly what you/the client/I need to hear that day to feel the love and reassurance that everything is going to be alright, or what you might need to do…. a bit of course correction.
Today I pulled from my Mother Mary Oracle deck (by Alana Fairchild) which is the first deck I bought. It was a challenge for me to buy this oracle deck, because I’m not religious or follow any organised religion. But I put aside judgement and bought this deck as it was popping off the shelf, figuratively speaking, at me. I pulled Our Lady of Answered Prayers - the essential message of this card is to keep the faith.
