GETTING STARTED
If you are planning a new website using WordPress, here are some things to think about before you start. Planning or at least considering these will make the entire process easier.

- MPress Client Questionnaire - Download and FILL out the Client Questionnaire. This is the best place to start as it streamlines the process and allows You to get all of the information you need before filing out the Website Request Form. NB: YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO UPLOAD THE COMPLETED FORM WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR WEBSITE REQUEST FORM. DOwnload form here
THE PROCESS
Step 1.
The Website Request Form is the best place to start getting the wheels in motion – use the information you gathered using the MPress Client Questionnaire.
Once the request form is submitted, I take the time to review it and contact you to ask you any questions to clarify anything I need to.
Step 2.
Full payment is due for your blog design or website design process project to begin.
If you require additional services over and above what is offered in the Packages please request a quote when submitting the Website Request Form.
Step 3.
The following are steps i take in your blog and/or website design process once your project payment has been received:
- Development of the overall concept and layout of your design work, based on the specifications you have given to me in the order form you filled out. This phase may also require further communication with you to nail down all of the specifics or clarify anything we may have questions on.
- Creation of the custom graphics that make up the foundation of your blog design, including the header graphics, any navigational graphics, button, banners, etc.
- I then provide you with a graphical mock up of the design work for your project for you to review. A maximum of two design revisions of the graphic composition will be included at no extra cost to create the visual look and feel that is desired. The original graphic mock up is created based on the specifications that you have provided to me in your original request form. The second mock up can either build and expand upon the concept presented, or you can request a completely different look than the one i originally presented. Further revisions may incur additional fees.
- The above design phase is carried out on a development domain that I own and use to work on client projects. The project will be a functional blog set up for you to review in a ‘live’ environment, click around and see how the different elements work (and look) together.
- At this point, the theme design phase is complete and once I have received final approval from you on the your theme – I will then install the theme on your hosted domain for you.
- Once your custom blog or website design is installed on your hosted domain, I will then add all content (provided by you), plugins for functionality and basic site SEO (search engine optimisation)
- After that is completed, I review the work with you and when you’ve given the final OK, you will then receive a “Project Complete” notice from us with notes and instructions you will need to utilize your site.
Step 4
Once your website/blog is complete I will review the site with you utilising a screen share programme – (PLEASE NOTE: AT THIS POINT IN TIME THIS IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR AUSTRALIAN CLIENTS) – over the internet. This allows me to show the WordPress administration panel and show you the basics as well as how to go in and play with it, change headings, appearance, add content, pictures and links to other sites. In addition to this consultation you will also receive:
- Blog/Website Details (all login, password, theme specific instructions etc for your files)
- MPress WordPress Quick Reference Guide
- Email consultation, for established client projects, is provided to you free of charge – Up to two hours total of general blog orientation and design questions included in package price.
- 30 minutes support and maintenance time post site completion included in the package price
ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME AND PAYMENT DETAILS
An estimated completion time for YOUR project:
BLOGS - 2 Weeks*
websites/websites & Blog Combination – 2-4 Weeks*
from the date of full project payment made (this excludes weekends and AU holidays).
* Please note that time shown is a rough estimation of the time frame – depending on the complexity of your individual request, the order may take less time or a bit longer. I strive to accomplish all projects on time and I will give you an estimated completion time on your project at the time of your order.
PAYMENTS
Payments are accepted online via PayPal – you are not required to have a PayPal account in order to pay via credit card. If you prefer you may pay by Direct Deposit/EFT. This can be discussed when I contact you on receipt of your Website Request Form.
